Khayelitsha police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a 26 year old man was shot in the neck in Bonteheuwel.
Captain Marie Louw said the victim had been sitting in his back yard when he was confronted by an armed suspect.
The victim has been hospitalized.
Police are investigating the possibility that the shooting may have been gang related.
