SAFA has offered the position of Bafana coach to assistant Pitso Mosimane.
Supersport United coach Gavin Hunt was also in the running to fill the coveted position.
Mosimane has served as assistant coach to the national squad for four seasons while Hunt secured three league titles with the club.
The appointment will be made official tomorrow.
Mosimane’s debut task will be to prepare the team for the Afcon qualifiers shich kick off in September.
