Three people have been shot and killed in Freedom Road, Overcome Heights in Muizenberg.
Police spokesperson Captain Stephen Knapp says upon arrival at the scene, police discovered the bodies of three males, who had been fatally shot.
“One person a resident of Mitchells Plain was found with a gunshot wound to the head and chest, the second a local resident with a wound to the chest and the third an unknown male, also sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.
“Police are investigating the possibility that the murders are gang related. The bodies were discovered outside the residence, which forms part of an informal settlement,” said Knapp.
A murder case has been opened and Detective Constable Patrick Mdokwana has been appointed as the investigating officer.
