The African National Congress has again denied instructing the South African Broadcasting Corporation to ban interviews with former president Thabo Mbeki.
The party said it was shocked by a column written in a local newspaper on Monday, stating that it had influenced the editorial policy of the public broadcaster.
The party made it clear that it had no kind of influence on the matter and denied that a discussion to ban the former president ever took place.
ANC added that an apology to the party from the journalist who published the story would be an appropriate thing to do.
