The Independent Democrats (ID) leader Patricia de Lille addressed delegates at the Democratic Alliance’s Federal Congress this morning in Cape Town.
In her address to the congress de Lille stated that realignment of political parties is important for South Africa.
She added that her party will continue to talks with DA in a bid to form a strong opposition party, she also added that corruption which continues to plague the ANC leadership government must come to an end.
Through Patricia de Lille speech there was no announcement of a merge taking place.
It has been reported that South Africans will know around September if the merge will go ahead.
If the merge does take place then it will be a very strong and powerful party, which could possibly take over the ANC.
