Two suspects were arrested on Friday evening for possession of illegal substances, a stolen firearm and ammunition in Makhaza in Khayelitsha and police confiscated one thousand Mandrax tablets.
The Metro Police Officers were executing search warrants at suspected drug dens in the Makhaza and Somerset West areas when they discovered the Mandrax Tablets at a house in Ring Avenue, Makhaza.
Two suspects, one male and one female were arrested for possession of narcotics with a monetary street value of approximately R40 000.
One stolen .38 Special Revolver with 13 rounds of ammunition were also recovered and additional charges of possession of a stolen firearm and ammunition were added to their charge sheets.
