Policeman who shot a school girl to appear in court

The 44-year-old policeman, who shot a 17-year-old school girl in Nyakallong Township earlier this week, is expected to appear in court today.
He will appear on a charge of murder.
The teenage girl is believed to have been hit by a badly-aimed warning shot, when police attempted to calm students who were protesting against matric preliminary exams.
The 17-year-old school girl was declared died on the scene on Tuesday.
The Free State Education Department has welcomed the arrest of the 44-year-old policeman.
