The National Union of Mineworkers has threatened more protest action if government does not open a criminal case against Aurora Empowerment Systems for not paying workers’ salaries.
Trade unions Cosatu and Num have called on the Department of Mineral Resources to take action against the company.
Mineworkers at Aurora’s Grootvlei and Orkney have allegedly not been paid for a couple of months and that deductions for the Unemployment Insurance Fund have also not been paid.
