A suspect who had stolen goods from a motor vehicle on Friday has been arrested thanks to Metro Police’s CCTV cameras.
Metro Police spokesperson Nowellen Petersen, said “ CCTV operators noticed two suspects tampering with a silver Volkswagen Golf parked in the CBD and reported the incident.
“Officials were dispatched to the scene but the suspects had already fled the scene”, he said.
The suspects were spotted again via CCTV, this time on the Station Deck.
Police managed to arrive in time to arrest one of the suspects.
A cell phone, which had allegedly been stolen from the vehicle, was found in his possession.
He will face a charge of theft out of a motor vehicle.
