Cele has publicly raised his concerns about policing in the Western Cape.
He cited the killing of tourist Anni Dewani, a surge in gang violence on the Cape Flats and the recent unrest in Khayelitsha.
Bheki Cele also mentioned the officers who were photographed sleeping on job, saying that the investigation is nearly completed.
The Police Commissioner also gave his full support to Acting Western Cape Police Commissioner Arno Lamoer to permanently occupy the post.
