There will be awards presented for: officer of the year; supervisor of the year; team of the year; outstanding academic achievement; and canine bravery, amongst others.

The City’s Executive Mayor, Alderman Dan Plato, is expected to deliver the keynote address.

Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman J.P. Smith, will be delivering a speech.

City of Cape Town’s Executive Director of Safety and Security, Richard Bosman says this will be the first ceremony of its kind in five years.

Bosman said ceremony was just to show appreciation to the staff for the outstanding work they did this year and during the World Cup.
