A minibus taxi accident claimed the lives of eleven people including a child in KwaZulu-Natal yesterday.
The driver of the minibus apparently lost control of his vehicle and it overturned on the R-34 near Utrecht.
Meanwhile, in the Eastern Cape, four people died in two different accidents near Kei Bridge.
While conveying his condolences, Transport Minister Sibusiso Ndebele said more than three-million vehicles and drivers had been stopped and checked since October.
Ndebele said more than a million fines were issued for various traffic offences across South Africa.
