Police had to be called in to stop clashes between delegates from Morocco and Western Sahara at the 17th World Festival of Youth and Students in Pretoria yesterday.
The clashes apparently took place at the festival's "Anti-Imperialist Court".
According to the chairman of the National Youth Development Agency, Andile Lungisa, the court was presiding over matters of imperialism against countries.
However, Lungisa defended the clashes saying slogans were shouted and voices were high, but the police were not called in.
