South African newspaper Mail & Guardian, has won access to a report over Zimbabwe’s 2002 elections.
President Jacob Zuma was ordered by The Supreme Court of Appeal to hand over a controversial report on constitutional and legal issues regarding the poll this morning.
The report was kept secret and commissioned by former president Thabo Mbebi.
“The ruling underlines government’s duty to adhere to the principle of freedom of information,” Mail & Guardian editor Nick Dawes said.
