The Free State Health Department’s Jabu Mbalula says they have since terminated the services of the security company that was used at Pelonomi State Hospital.

The Department says it has stepped up its security following the rape of a doctor by a 16-year-old at the hospital.

The teenager was found guilty of raping and robbing the doctor by the Bloemfontein High Court.

The incident occurred in October and the teenager is due to be sentenced on the 22nd of March 2011 after the court has had time to study a State report.
