SABC 2 documentary presenter Danielle Black’s son has drowned in the Groot Marico River in the North West last night.

The four-year-old, his brother and dad were swept away by the river.

Black and his family was on holiday at a resort on the river when the chalet was flooded.

Police spokesperson Lesego Metsi says, “It is believed that Black lost his grip on his youngest son and his 12-year-old son clung to furniture to stay above water.”

The boy’s body was found several kilometres downstream.
