Two abalone suspects who face charges for the illegal possession of abalone are expected to appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate's Court in Cape Town today.
Spokesman Captain Frederick Van Zyl said, “A high-speed chase ensued from Gordon's Bay to Mitchells Plain where abalone worth R1, 5-million was seized.
Almost 7 235 shucked abalone in 42 bags were found stashed in the car.
