The Agriculture Department announced today that efforts will be made to increase safety on farms.
Agri South Africa Organisation president, Johannes Möller, says, “They welcome the announcement but he is not quite sure how Minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson intends to do this.”
South Africa has seen an increase in farm deaths over the last few months.
Möller says, “The Department needs to work together with private farming associations to build on existing security programmes.”
