Not enough rain has fallen in Beaufort West, this was a comment made by the Karoo Central District Municipality.
Municipality Disaster Management head, Hein Rust, says a few days of rainfall in recent weeks have only benefited farmers in the area.
The area has received on going drought and the rain did not fall in the local dam’s catchments area.
