The Global anti-crime initiative, Crime Stoppers, has helped solve a crime around the world every 14-minutes.
Head of the initiative’s South African chapter, Crime Line SA Yusuf Abramjee says the campaign has proved just as successful back home.
Nearly one-thousand-100 criminals have been arrested in South Africa thanks to tip-offs from members of the public.
Yusuf Abramjee added that the Police Service has also realised the value of community involvement in fighting crime.
