Following recent speculations that Dan Plato was being replaced as Cape Town mayor, the Democratic Alliance says they want to set the record straight regarding the mayoral nomination procedures for the City of Cape Town.
This follows reports that Western Cape Social Development MEC, Patricia de Lille, is being groomed for the Cape Town mayoral position ahead of this year’s local government elections.
Mitchell’s Plain ward councillor Grant Pascoe has also mentioned as a possible candidate following the local government elections later this year.
