The traffic officer accused of killing Western Cape cricketer Luke Fairweather in Newlands on Wednesday has been released on R1000 bail.
Ian Sinclair who appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court today allegedly shot Fairweather after they has an argument over a traffic violation.
The court heard from Fairweather’s advocate that he is not a flight risk.
The case has been postponed till the 23 March 2011 pending further investigation.
