Municipal workers have warned that Johannesburg residents can expect service disruptions until City Power pays them the performance bonuses they should have received in October.
South African Municipal Workers Union’s members have restarted protesting in support of their demands.
The union says City Power’s revenue increased substantially last year, meaning there is no reason why workers can’t be given what they were promised.
Samwu also wants the City of Johannesburg to intervene.
