The case against tavern owner James Thembiso Lepholletse has been postponed till Friday in the Schweizer-Reneke Magistrate's Court today.

Ten people died in a New Year's Day stampede at his tavern in Ipelegeng. Most of the deceased were between the age of 18 and 25.

The 47-year-old face charges of culpable homicide.

Police spokeswoman Captain Adele Myburgh says he will remain in custody till his next court appearance.
