A search continues for seven people believed to have drowned in Centurion floods

Tshwane rescue personnel are searching for the bodies of to have been swept away by flooding in Centurion.

The Jukskei together with the Hennops Rivers burst their banks late last night.

Several people were rescued after spending most of the night on the roofs of their cars after being swept away by the flood.

Tshwane Community Safety spokesperson William Baloyi says the situation is now under control and they are monitoring water levels very closely.
