Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a 26 year old woman, whose body was found in her flat in Main Road, Sea Point on Wednesday evening.
Warrant Officer November Filander says the arrest follows after the accused was released on bail from Pollsmoor Prison for the rape of another woman on Monday.
Filander says it has emerged that the suspect is the owner of the flat.
The deceased, who has been identified as 26 year old Desirè Davids from Delft, sustained multiple stab wounds to the body.
Investigations into the circumstances that led to her death are ongoing.
