Commuters have been warned of a possible taxi fare increase in the coming weeks.
The South African National Taxi Council executive council will meet next week to discuss the possible hikes.
Santaco’s Phillip Taaibosch says, “The increase cannot be avoided due to the rising cost of fuel.”
The price of petrol went up by 28-cents per litre from midnight last night and diesel fuel by 23-cents per litre.
