The Independent Democrats have called on matrics who failed the 2010 matric exams to write the supplementary in March .
Western Cape MP Rodney Lentit says, “It is crucial to have a matric certificate, and to complete the GR12 as soon as possible especially with the growing unemployment rate.”
“Those who did not make it must not be disappointed as there is hope, but only if they register to re-write in March 2011.
“The deadline for registration for the Supplementary exams is 22 January 2011,” he said.
Matrics can call the Education Department's hotline on 021 467 2300 for further details.
