President Jacob Zuma in his New Years message said government will do everything in its power to improve and deliver services in 2011.
Zuma said the lessons learnt from the FIFA World Cup will help towards this goal.
He also added that the World Cup was one of the biggest and most successful international projects the country has ever managed or hosted in 16 years of freedom.
The President also thanked the citizens of South Africa for helping to make the 2010 World Cup a success.
