The Right2Know campaign says Parliament is threatening its supporters who staged a silent protest with the full might of the law.
Five Right2Know supporters silently wore masks portraying Minister of State Security Siyabonga Cwele during a parliamentary committee sitting dealing with the Protection of Information Bill.
Parliament then released a statement saying it strongly condemned the violation of rules of conduct governing public participation in its work by representatives of the Right2Know non-governmental coalition.
The campaign’s Murray Hunter feels that members of Parliament should perhaps rather investigate what Right2 Know regards as the anti-democratic provisions of the Secrecy Bill.
