A South African businessman has been arrested in connection with a terror threat involving the United States and the United Kingdom.
It has been reported that the wealthy 64-year-old man was arrested near Hartbeespoort in the North West after allegedly trying to collect 28 million rands from the British government to stop a terror attack in that country.
He allegedly threatened to release a biological agent in the two countries. Police spokeswoman Brigadier Sally De Beer says intensive multidisciplinary investigations led to the arrest.
