The toll tariffs for the new Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project have been announced.
The South African National Roads Agency Limited says it will cost motorists 66-cents per kilometres to travel the 185 kilometre Gauteng Freeway network.
Sanral's chief executive Nazir Alli, says this is the cost for light motor vehicles before discounts are applied.
Those who purchase the e-tag system will pay 49.5c a kilometre, while heavy duty vehicles with an e-tag will pay R2.97c per kilometre.
Alli says more discounts could be applied to motorists frequently who use the highway.
