Johannesburg High Court has heard that Estate Agency Affairs Board chief executive officer Nomonde Mapetla never had a disciplinary hearing and heard about her dismissal in the media.
Mapetla made an urgent application for her dismissal to be overturned.
Her advocate, Dali Mpofu, told the court Mapetla was entitled to a disciplinary hearing and to be given reasons for her suspension and subsequent dismissal.
The Estate Agency Affairs Board says Mapetla was dismissed because she had spoken to the media, which broke the conditions of her suspension.
