The Democratic Alliance has laid criminal charges against ANC MP Yolanda Botha.
The DA’s Anchen Dreyer says Botha is not being taken to task after the Ethics Committee found in September that Botha had failed to disclose her business interests.
She is also said to have wilfully misled Parliament concerning kickbacks she received from a business venture.
Dreyer accuses ANC members of the Ethics Committee of voting to adopt a watered-down version of the report on Botha’s transgressions.
