The Department of Correctional Services has denied that two of the Waterkloof four would be released on parole today.
The four men were convicted of beating a homeless man to death in Waterkloof in Pretoria in 2001, and were sentenced to 12 years imprisonment each.
The stepfather of one of the men has said that they had received notification that their son would be released later today.
The department’s spokesperson Simphiwe Kondleka confirmed that they have received an application for parole, but denied that any of the men would be released today.
