Five adults and a child were killed when their car crashed into a truck on the N1 near Mokopane on Thursday night.
Netcare 911 Jeffrey Wicks says the truck was stationary when the Ford Icon slammed into it.
Two men, two women and a boy aged around 6 were killed.
The only survivor, a 6-year-old girl, was taken to the Limpopo Provincial Hospital in Polokwane with critical injuries.The truck driver was unharmed.
