A month has passed since the American and Mongrel gangs signed a peace treaty in Hanover Park.

No gang-related shootings took place since then. Gang Member affiliated with the Mongrels, Michael Simpson says the two gangs are now talking rather than fighting.

He added that the people of Hanover Park feel free.

MEC for Community Safety in the Western Cape, Dan Plato says it is important that further shootings are prevented.
