New Year’s Eve revellers can expect zero tolerance if they misbehave in Hillbrow tonight.
Police say enough is enough and they seemed to prepare for war as they prepared helicopters, armoured vehicles and special units to patrol the suburb.
In previous years a number of people out celebrating the coming of a new year have been injured by fridges and other furniture thrown from windows.
Thousands of immigrants from other African countries populate Hillbrow and the surrounding districts.
