A march against the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo Joseph Kabila stopped after a small turnout.
The march was said to have taken place at Cape Peninsula University in Cape Town.
Police spokesperson FC Van Wyk said that they came together and dispersed because of the small turnout.
Spokesperson for the protesters, Olivia Kalala said that the police told them to be back after the Christmas holidays because their officers have been deployed all over the peninsula.
She also added that police said there are too many risks because there are so many things happening in the city.
