The Western Cape’s roads has left 24 people dead this past long weekend.

Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa said the cause of most accidents is tiredness and overloading of taxis and trailers .

It is urged that taxi drivers and public operators ensure they get adequate sleep and rest before a journey.

The Karoo and Beaufort West along the N1 has the highest recording of deaths.
