Zimbabwean police on Monday said they had recovered 11 bodies, including those of five children, from Lake Chivero near the capital Harare.
The people were all alleged to have drowned when their boat had an accident late on Christmas Day.
Eight people including three crew members, survived the accident by swimming to the shores of the crocodile infested Lake Chivero, about 20km south-west of Harare.
The survivors then alerted authorities, who sent in dive-teams to try to rescue the others.
