Yesterday the Cape Town Gang Unit arrested a man believed to be a well-known drug merchant in Strandfontein.
While officers were searching many suspected drug dens in Hanover Park, they were tipped-off about a planned drug deal in Strandfontein.
The officers searched the men who stay in the suspected drug house but found nothing.
Apparently the men were able to flush the drugs down the toilet before the hang unit arrived.
Gang Unit spokesperson Llewellyn Petersen said that they were alerted about the drug deal in Strandfontein.
He added that a 38-year-old man was arrested when 110 grams of tik and units of heroin was found.
