A police officer is recovering in hospital after he was shot at the Kempton Park Police Station yesterday evening.
As the constable was booking his firearm out it went off.
Police spokesperson Tshisikhawe Ndou said that the policeman was shot in the upper body.
He further said that they were investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
