Police to re-question witness

Cape Town police will be re-questioning a witnesses in connection with the death of a two year old Valhalla Park boy who died in a shack fire.

Christiano van Wyk’s body was found earlier this week.

The toddler’s mother claims she left the boy in the care of a friend to search for food.

When officials later questioned the woman, she denied her statement.

Police are now investigating the matter further.
