Two people lost their lives in a shack fire in Phillipi.
The fire occurred in the early hours of today at
Sheffield Road
.
In the fire four shacks were burnt down.
Disaster Risk Management Centre`s Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said that other people escaped unharmed.
Solomons-Johannes added that the cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
