A body found on Chapman`s peak

A body of a man was found near a hiking trail above Chapman’s Peak Drive on Wednesday.


Emergency services officials were alerted to the scene by base jumpers who had found the body.


Emergency Spokesperson Keri Davids said that the jumpers spotted a body about 200 metres from the top of the peak.


Davids added that the body had been wedged between rocks there.


Davids also said that the cause of death is not known at this stage.
