Yesterday the man dubbed as the “Facebook rapist” was moved from the Drakenstein prison in Paarl to Pollsmoor prison in Cape Town.
Thabo Bester appeared in the Cape Town Magistrates Court on murder charges, but his case was referred to the high court because of the magnitude of his alleged actions.
Bester is accused of allegedly contacting 26-year-old model Nomfundo Tylulu on Facebook and then murdering her.
In September last year her body was found with stab wounds to her chest at a bed and breakfast in Milnerton.
It is alleged that Bester lured women on Facebook before robbing and raping them.
His spree went across Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.
