It has been reported that many parts of Midrand and Randfontein are without electricity.
Authorities believe this might be due to a storm which caused the disruptions.
Eskom’s spokesperson Hilary Joffe said power should be restored soon.
Joffe added that they apologise for the inconvenience.
She also called on all members of the public to please stay away from damaged power cables.
