The seven people who were arrested in Grabouw in the Overberg on charges of public violence, has been released on a warning.
Due to insufficient evidence, charges against ten others have been dropped.
This comes after violent protests erupted in the area by residents who were unhappy about overcrowding at the Umyezo Combined School.
The matter has been postponed to the 21st of May for further investigation.
Three other schools in Pineview, including Groenberg High School, were also affected by the violence but, they have since been reopened.
