Sophiatown residents demand speed bumps

Sophiatown residents on the West Rand in Gauteng are demanding speed bumps in the area after a child was knocked down and killed by a car on Friday.

On Saturday, the residents protested outside the Newlands police station following the accident that occurred in the road on Friday.

The police’s Lungelo Dlamini said that Police went there and have opened a case of public violence.

Dlamini added that no one has been arrested at this stage.
